La Digue Beach
This
island is one of the most beautiful place in the world where people wish to
visit and spend time, capture photographs and couple like to visit here for the
sake of freshness and relaxation. This awesome place is located in Seychelles
and part of big Indian Ocean, it is form of Archipelago means inner island of
Indian ocean and its area is about 10.09 kilometer squares and its length with
coastline is about five kilometers and the width of this island is 3.4
kilometers and the coastline area is about 15.5 kilometers which are equal to
9.60 miles
The island La Digue is the 3rd biggest occupied island of
this Seychelles in terms of population and the 4th largest island in order of
size. If we talk about the temperature of this island than generally it is warm
throughout the year. Due to its location near the equator, it gets the heavy
rainfall. At the daytime the temperature on this island is constant between 25
degrees to 33 degrees and at night, the temperature is normal and tolerable.
Now a day the main earning of this island is only tourism
and it is well known and famous for its beaches. Last few years the number of
tourist’s increases day by day and due to this tourism industry the island gets
benefits and profits.
Here at La Digue Island the main source of
transportation is an only bicycle and no one allowed owning the car at this
island and just because of this rule only a few cars owned and the most of the
cars and buses are belong to the hotels and companies, but recently this rule
had been changed. This is difficult to drive bus or car on the roads of this
island because these roads were originally designed for only bicycling and if
two cars drive opposite it is 100 percent possible that two wheels of the car
are on sand that’s why it is hard to drive on car or bus
La Digue is the home to the disapprovingly threatened
paradise of flycatcher. Nevertheless, there are more infrequent and threatened
and dangerous animals that are live on this island.
Meanwhile, the Seychelles are disconnected as of the rest of
Africa; a number of the species is widespread to La Digue Island. There is an
important population of giant and big and massive tortoises that come from the
island of Aldabra.
The populations of La Digue are known as or named as Diguois.
The first occupants arrived or reached on this island in 1798, they emigrant or
exiled from Bourbon for participating in a political uprising or rebellion
there. They were hypothetically or supposed to be directed to the East Indies,
but corrupted the captain who was not loyal to his duty, to ship them to
Seychelles as an alternative where many had families. The inhabitants or people
of La Digue are frequently Catholic and the national day of this island are 15
august and they enjoy the holiday on this morning.
